Lucky and loved!

Today was OK for Mr. Blue Eyes. At dinner tonight I touched his hair and noticed a couple came out. I also saw a few on his shirt. We talked about it, and since everyone needed a haircut, we decided  we would have a party! I would do some really short back to school haircuts.   Excited, Mr. Blue Eyes hid with a towel on his head.  Then he did a big reveal to everyone!!!
I even shampooed it for him. He giggled when I conditioned and rubbed his head. It tickled my heart!  Little did I know all the brothers would laugh hysterically when I rubbed their heads. They are definitely related to me. We do not miss a good chance to laugh.

Tonight he asked me if he was the unluckiest kid in our family because he got cancer.  It tugged at my heart strings so deeply. I told him that he is so loved and that this is one of the things he will learn and grow from in his life. He will not be alone; he has God and lots of friends and family that love him.  I assured him that this was not just for his growth but for our entire family.
He is not unlucky; he is loved!

  6. What a beautiful blog you have created Angela. I have read and re-read over the past few days and my heart aches with you. I also well up with joy when I feel the love you all have as a family. Corban is blessed to have such an amazing mom and dad. I cannot imagine the many different emotions you all are feeling. You as his mom, Todd as his dad, little brother Blake and big bro Kayden, baby sister and of course everything Corban is experiencing. Wow.

I look forward to reading about Corban's journey of healing and all the sweet and honest stories along the way. Corban sounds amazingly strong and he will kick this lymphoma's booty!!! I know it!
    Love you,
    Susan

  8. Justin realized fully during family prayer the other night what was going on with Corban. He got super upset crying and carrying on. Guess what calmed him down? We told him about Corban, and the rest of the Larsen kid's, faith to pray for Liam. "Is Liam walking?" I asked him. He nodded yes and we prayed yet again for your family knowing that the faith of many creates mighty miracles! We love you guys!
